- The in-vehicle Locator Hardware determines the position of the vehicle from the GPS satellite network.
- The location data of the vehicle is then transmitted through the GSM/GPRS wireless network to the Services Network Operation Center (SNOC), a central hub that collects and processes location data to provide various activity reports.
- The SNOC is alerted if a telematics alarms are triggered i.e. PTO is used, Door Lock/Unlock, engine disable, etc.
- Location data is collected from the vehicle via the Locator Hardware device, and then transmitted through the wireless network to the SNOC which in turn routes the data to specified destinations for report generation and remote vehicle access and control.
